GUIDELINES FOR THE HEALTH AND CARE OF DOGS AND CATS
The following guidelines have been adapted from the American Animal Hospital Association vaccination guidelines and the current trends in modern veterinary care. We are proud to recommend the most current health recommendations for our patients.
YOUNG ADULT DOGS (1-7 years of age)
- Yearly complete physical exam
- Vaccination review (core and optional vaccines based on individual risk)
- Urinalysis
- Stool exam
- Heartworm test and health screen
SENIOR DOGS (over 8 years of age)
- Twice yearly physical exam
- Yearly heartworm test and health screen
- Urinalysis twice yearly
- Yearly stool exam
- Vaccination review (core and optional vaccines based on individual risk)
YOUNG ADULT CATS (1-10 years of age)
- Yearly physical exam
- Stool exam
- Urinalysis
- Health screen
- Vaccine review (core and optional vaccines based on individual risk)
SENIOR CATS (over 10 years of age)
- Physical exam twice yearly
- Urinalysis twice yearly
- Yearly health screen
- Vaccine review (core and optional vaccines based on individual risk)
- Stool exam
